Founded in 2010 by Simon Christopher Waller, the Christopher Waller label aims to provide sophisticated urban women with luxurious staples that can easily make the transition from day to evening wear.
Colour blocking forms the backbone of the Christopher Waller collections and in recent seasons this has been combined with fabric blocking to create a distinct Christopher Waller aesthetic.
Christopher Waller is based out of his studio in Peckham, south east London and draws inspiration for his collections from the architecture and surroundings of his home city. The collections are all manufactured in London with fabrics coming primarily from the UK and Italy.
The SS13 collection develops the sophisticated and minimal approach as seen in previous collections and includes sporty undertones with a luxury feel and broad use of colour and texture.
Colour blocking forms the core of the brand aesthetic, something that is demonstrated most clearly in the oversized graphic dress which uses a combination of textures and colours to create a luxurious but sporty garment.
The dominant colour blocked panelling for SS13 is softened with the inclusion of digitally printed silk pieces taken from a bespoke print created using a photographic image of the architectural surroundings of the Christopher Waller studio in South East London. This print is used on two of the spring collections signature pieces the printed silk trouser and printed silk bomber jacket.
For the first time in February 2013, Christopher Waller was selected to take part in Fashion Scout (formerly Vauxhall Fashion Scout) where he exhibited the AW13 collection to the international press.
